About

Search and AI answer engines aren't the same audience.

Most SEO tools were built for one reader: search engine crawlers. Seov was built for two — because your site now has to make sense to both a search index and an AI system deciding what to summarize or cite.

What Seov actually does

Seov crawls a site the way a real crawler would — respecting robots.txt, following internal links, and reading the same HTML a bot would see — then runs two independent sets of deterministic checks against it: an SEO lane covering the classic ranking factors (titles, headings, canonical tags, crawl health, page speed signals), and a GEO lane covering technical readiness for AI crawlers and answer engines (robots.txt rules for GPTBot/ClaudeBot/PerplexityBot and others, structured data, llms.txt, and whether your content is even extractable without JavaScript).

Every check is real and reproducible — see the SEO checklist and GEO checklist for the exact list, not a marketing summary of it.

What Seov deliberately doesn't do

Seov does not claim to predict whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any other AI system will actually cite your site. That would require running live queries against those systems and treating a non-deterministic, constantly-changing answer as a scorable fact — we think that's a bad idea to build a product around, so the GEO score measures technical readiness only: is your site accessible and understandable to AI crawlers, not whether a specific model currently mentions it.

Who it's for

Anyone who ships a website and wants a straight answer to “what's actually wrong with this, and in what order should I fix it” — without paying for an enterprise SEO suite or reverse-engineering what a GEO score even means.
